Inspiration Corporation Available Jobs 1. Events Manager
The Events Manager is a key member of Inspiration’s Development team and is responsible for all event-related planning and decision-making activities. The Events Manager is the primary contact for all fundraising events at Inspiration Corporation and responsibilities include coordinating volunteer committees and participating in solicitation of event donors. Our primary annual events are the participation in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, the Anniversary Dinner, and One Inspired Evening. The Events Manager is also responsible for acting as liaison to groups that select Inspiration Corporation as the beneficiary of events and for organization of ad hoc donor cultivation and recognition events, including events planned as part of an anticipated capital campaign. As time permits, the Events Manager may be asked to participate in agency marketing and public relations activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required; one or more year of related experience in events management or a related field is also required; Strong computer skills are essential; Proficiency in Windows XP and Microsoft Office essential; Strong commitment to personal and professional development required; Excellent communication and assessment skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment; Candidates who have worked with homeless or impoverished populations preferred or candidates with relevant life experiences or who are formerly homeless will be equally considered for the position

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
Schedule: Full-time between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday through Friday (and other days and times as needed)

2. Case Manager
The Case Manager is a member of Inspiration’s Housing & Supportive Services Team and participates in various planning and decision-making activities. This staff person will work with directors and managers as it pertains to the agency’s Housing & Supportive Services Department. Some of the major tasks of the Case Manager include: assistance with the enrollment process for all supportive services programs; working with participants to create action plans; meeting regularly with participants to provide case management and support; asses progress on goals; participate in required department meetings; work with Housing Services for participants that are living in Inspiration housing; and collect and report on data as required by government agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:Strong commitment to personal and professional development required; excellent communication and assessment skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment; proficiency in Microsoft Office required; High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors in social work or related field preferred; and two years work experience in case management in nonprofit environment and/or significant life experience. Candidates who have worked with homeless or impoverished populations preferred.
