Applicants must be homeless or have a criminal record and be a Chicago resident. Because job placement is the ultimate goal, you must be committed to finding a job in the hospitality industry immediately upon completion of training.

You must also read and write English at a sixth grade level and pass a tuberculosis test. Applicants will be interviewed to verify that they will be able to finish the program and find employment.

• Do you work well under pressure?
• Can you work evenings and weekends?
• Can you accept criticism?
• Are you willing to prove yourself on the job through hard work and taking on new tasks?
• Do you pay attention to detail?
• Can you handle multiple tasks at one time?
• If you answer yes to all these questions, then you are ready for the opportunities in the culinary world.
